I'm looking to start a Roth IRA, investing Minimum initial. Someone recommended this free online broker, but what are those other possible charges? and any other would apply to me if I want to trade stocks in my IRA? These are some inderstand not what this stuff is. Can you see their faq and interpret these things for me? Http: / / www.zecco.com/trading/FreeTrading.aspx?tab=WhatsNotFree This is the thing about the IRA free things: 144 Sales http://www.zecco.com/trading/ZeccoIRA.aspx?_s_icmp=KbX73Dx8 $ 35.00 more regular Commission Accommodation Transfers $ 25.00 plus the license fee by number of Automated Customer Account Transfer (ACAT) $ 50.00 for each deposit account physical stock trades customer pays $ 50.00 to $ 10.00 in advance plus interest to the settlement date reg. "T" Extension of $ 10.00 per application plus interest from settlement date until paid

I looked quick and rates are not as wrong. It all depends on how big your account is, how trade, and how often you trade. Although they have very low transaction fees, you must be aware of your fillings. Maybe not as good of a price at other firms. Or if you do a lot of operations (non-trade), you earn a lot of fees. Now But if trade only occasionally or do some trading of option prices are not too bad. There are plenty of good brokerages depending on what you like and how trade. Here is information on other online brokers so you can do a little research and selection that you believe best. Barron's has a great article on the brokerages that published each year. (More recent was in March 6, 2006). Kiplinger is one too. Here is the link to the article in Barron's. http://webreprints.djreprints.com/1550280182488.html Here is the link to the July 2006 Kiplinger's article http://www.kiplinger.com/magazine/archives/2006/07/brokers.html which is not bad. For feedstock, E * Trade, Ameritrade, and Scottrade are sufficient. For more complex trades, I'd recommend OptionsXpress, thinkorswim, or interactivebrokers. Based on what you put in your question, I'd recommend one of the top three, but all are very good. Scottrade's probably cheaper (for the largest companies in line). Yes there are cheaper as interactivebrokers, but you will to adjust to their platform-based software (which is feasible). They are only about $ 1/contract on options! Brokerages like Fidelity are horrible for any person with a decent experience. Therefore, decide what is important to you, as a dealer and compare the brokers! You can use the article or go to each site Web, since everyone seems to have comparison charts! And if there are specific things I want to mention as most important to you (as executions, Cust SVC, more cheap trade, flexible to make certain types of shops, stop and stop limit orders, contingent orders, great graphics, what if scenarios, training, etc.), I will be happy to help you discuss this with you too! If you have any questions, let me know. I hope that helps!
