If I have $ 80K Day trade buying power, can I use the full $ 80k several times a day ...?
Therefore, I have a strategy where I want to trade in securities of XYZ corp $ 40,000 blocks of 5 to 10 times a day with not having more than one block of $ 40,000 at a time, I can do that with only 80,000 dollars worth of daily transactions for the purchase of energy? Or am I limited to this only 2 times (X 2 = $ 40k $ 80k) a day without rape T Reg - Standards of free ride? For example, the purchase of $ 40k to sell to buy it again, selling it, so at least 5 to 10 times a day. My opinion is that this probably I'd be in violation of the rules of free ride? Can anyone answer this for me .... Thanks also to anyone ever tried the trade agenda .... does not work? Any advise ...? My concern is that if I do this 10 times in one day, I bought and sold in essence, 400,000 dollars worth of securities that are not be satisfied with .... three days and I think this would be a violation of the rules of free .....? Am I bad trip ...?
There are 3 different themes for address in your question: 1) Freeride: If you have a margin account, which sounds like you do, T +3 settlement issues generally do not apply. You can not freeride in a margin account. 2) Daytrading: If you have less than $ 25k in his margin account, you can not daytrader more than 3 times in a period of 5 days or you will be qualified of pattern daytrader and be required to bring your account up to $ 25k and keep it there. A "daytrader" is buying and then selling and then short covering of the same population in the same day. Once you have $ 25k in the account, you can daytrader anything you want. 3) Assuming that at least $ 25k in his account, yes, you can buy and sell up their buying power available several times a day while his agent uses the "time and tick" method of registration, most (but not all) do. It is best to ask particular corridor, to be sure. Edit: It is curious that a genie gave me a thumbs down, when all I said is 100% correct.
